The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Banner 's head backwards.
Nice uppercut there from Banner .
Banner lands with an uppercut that bounces Lopez off the cage and back into range.
Banner swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Lopez.
Banner throws a good cross that connects.
Lopez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Banner .
Lopez is looking for the big counter here.
Lopez gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Banner .
Banner connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Lopez drops his hands momentarily and Banner takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Banner works over Lopez's head and body with a nice combination.

Oooooh!!! Banner has knocked Lopez down with a huge combo! Banner steps away and waves a wobbly Lopez back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Lopez walks straight into a right hand from Banner - that's dropped him! Banner jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Lopez from any more punishment! Lopez complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
