PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yunieor Dorticosos (ranked 4381 p4p, 510 weight class) and Carlos Silva (ranked 4914 p4p, 557 weight class). Carlos Silva told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva connects with an inside leg kick.
Dorticosos pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Silva has managed to clinch.
Silva fails to pull guard.
Silva goes for a takedown in the clinch but Dorticosos prevents it.

It looks like Carlos Silva has been cut.
Dorticosos blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Dorticosos is trying to break free.
Silva wants to take the fight to the mat but Dorticosos manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Yunieor Dorticosos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Silva.
Silva misses with the head strike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dorticosos lands with a left to the head.
Silva wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Dorticosos lands a hook that snaps the head of Silva backwards.
Silva is trying to drag Dorticosos to the mat but Dorticosos just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Silva goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Dorticosos drags the fight down to the ground.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Dorticosos manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Dorticosos lands a hook to the side of the head.
Dorticosos goes for a takedown attempt but Silva pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Silva tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Dorticosos's elbow.

Dorticosos pulls guard successfully.
Dorticosos has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Dorticosos wants to get back to his feet but Silva is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Dorticosos on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dorticosos tries to get out of the position.
Silva's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Dorticosos scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Dorticosos rushes Silva and presses him up against the cage.
Dorticosos is trying to break the clinch but Silva has him pressed against the cage.
Dorticosos lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Dorticosos gets through Silva's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Dorticosos unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Silva! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Dorticosos is unloading with more strikes now! Silva drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

A relieved looking Yunieor Dorticosos thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
