The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Nard Betker and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patterson takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Patterson takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Patterson has George up against the cage in a clinch.

George jumps into guard, dragging Patterson to the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Patterson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

George is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Patterson defends well.
Patterson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Patterson is going oldschool here, as he tries to force George to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so George shrugs it off.
George is trying desperately to improve position.
Patterson is looking to stand but George has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
George is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

George looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Patterson is controlling the pace.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Patterson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but George does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Patterson has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for George!

Patterson has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
George knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Patterson on the ground.

Patterson prevents George from getting the reversal.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
George is breathing heavily.

Patterson working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Patterson is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Patterson extends the arm and George is forced to tap!
