Scorpion has chosen Jiu Jitsu as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Columbo Gatti and John Kavanagh.



The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scorpion slips a jab and a cross from Fagaro.

Scorpion moves into the clinch.
Fagaro is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Scorpion pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Fagaro wants to take the fight to the mat but Scorpion manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
A hook to the body from Scorpion.
Scorpion doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Scorpion's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Fagaro has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Scorpion after a bit of a struggle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Don Fagaro. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Scorpion slowing the pace effectively.
Fagaro is working for takedown but Scorpion is calmly controlling the position for now.

A nice left hand lands by Scorpion.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fagaro drops down looking for an ankle pick but Scorpion pulls his leg out and moves away.
Scorpion misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Fagaro.
Scorpion is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Scorpion keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Fagaro looks to score with a jab to the body but Scorpion is just out of range.
It seemed like Scorpion was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Scorpion throws out a powerful jab.
Fagaro uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Scorpion.
Scorpion throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Fagaro.

Fagaro shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Scorpion's guard.

Scorpion working for a triangle but Fagaro defends it easily.

Fagaro avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Scorpion looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
We've been hearing good reports from Fagaro's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Fagaro's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Scorpion looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Fagaro throwing strikes from guard but Scorpion blocks nicely.

Scorpion seems keen to control Fagaro's posture.
Fagaro would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Scorpion is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Fagaro lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Fagaro wants to stand and escape but instead Scorpion has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Fagaro tries to bench press Scorpion off him but Scorpion keeps the position.

Fagaro is not content to let Scorpion control the position.

Scorpion thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Fagaro tries to escape but Scorpion is in control.
Fagaro can't do much from the bottom here.
Fagaro is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Scorpion is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Scorpion wants to control but Fagaro is keeping him busy.
Fagaro stops Scorpion from passing to mount.
Fagaro struggling a bit here.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Fagaro is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Scorpion controlling the position.

Scorpion tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Fagaro tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Fagaro wants to get back to his feet but Scorpion drags him back down.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Fagaro can't do much from the bottom here.
Fagaro tries to escape but Scorpion is in control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kasey Scorpion dominated that round.

Kasey Scorpion seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Scorpion changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Nice uppercut lands for Scorpion. That snapped Fagaro's head back.
Scorpion tries to clinch but Fagaro is having none of it.
Scorpion connects with a body shot.
Scorpion misses with a straight left.
Fagaro half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Fagaro looks to land a combination but Scorpion avoids it well.

Fagaro throws the left hand but Scorpion avoids the punch easily.
Scorpion listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Fagaro ducks right into an uppercut from Scorpion.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Scorpion! Fagaro is backing up but he can't get away as Scorpion lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Fagaro and ends the fight. Great knockout.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Kasey Scorpion!
An out of breath Kasey Scorpion thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
