The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from Poki.
Scout moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Scout closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Poki will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Scout fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Poki sprawls well initially but Scout persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Poki is trying to control but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Poki wants to improve his position but Scout is controlling well.

Scout is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Scout not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Poki is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Scout winds up and cracks Poki with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Poki is looking for a sweep. Scout is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Poki is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Poki keeping control of the position.
Poki wants to improve his position but Scout is controlling well.

Scout is trying for a kimura here. Poki looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Scout wins by kimura!
