The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rowler tries to clinch there but Battle circles away.
Rowler fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Battle swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Battle pushes Rowler up against the cage in a clinch.
Rowler blocking some punches.
Rowler wants to break the clinch but can't.
Battle fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Battle lands a left hand.
Rowler fails to pull guard.
Battle lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Rowler wants to break free but Battle has control.
Battle presses Rowler against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Nice body punch from Rowler.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Battle creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Battle throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Rowlers head.
Battle works on Rowler's body with a couple of short punches.
A nice right hand lands inside from Rowler.
Rowler is trying to pull guard but Battle turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Isaiah Battle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Rowler.

Battle misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Battle can't find room to land a body shot as Rowler controls the action.

Rowler changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Battle fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Battle fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rowler, pushing him back against the cage.

Battle lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Battle pushes Rowler back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Battle lands a left hand that snaps the head of Rowler backwards.

Rowler jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Battle walks away with a smile on his face. Rowler gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Battle has taken the fight to the clinch.
Battle lands a left hand.
Battle swings wildly with an uppercut but Rowler uses good head movement to avoid it.
Rowler tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Battle digs a right hand into Rowler's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Rowler's gas tank.
Rowler looks winded!

Battle lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Rowler to his knees! Battle keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
