The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ukkeli tries to land a front kick but Peterson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Peterson has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Ukkeli throws out a head kick that Peterson doesn't see coming - it connects and sends Peterson crashing to the mat face first! He's bounced up to his knees and is scrambling to get back to his feet and beat the count. He's up on 5 but still looks a bit groggy; will the referee allow it to continue??? He's taking a good look into Peterson's eyes and has decided to let it go on!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
