The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ribbler drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Ribbler throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Ribbler tries for a kimura but Etxeberria is defending well.
Etxeberria holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
Etxeberria is looking for a sweep.
Etxeberria struggling a bit here.
Etxeberria really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ribbler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Etxeberria tries to improve position but can't.
Ribbler lands an elbow.
Etxeberria tries to get back to half guard but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ribbler throws a strike aimed at the side of Etxeberria's head but Etxeberria avoids it well.
Etxeberria tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ribbler wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Etxeberria wants to control but Ribbler postures up.
Ribbler creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Etxeberria sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Kemen Etxeberria was interviewed post fight and said 'You know, this smelly motherf***** Ibbe stinks the gym up so bad, it messed up my training. Also, I'm sure he laced my recovery drink and turned everyone in the gym against me. That's the kinda champ you have! '.
