Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ken Osada (ranked 7363 p4p, 586 weight class) and Dan Monroe (ranked 7349 p4p, 585 weight class). Dan Monroe is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan Monroe!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Valeri Chadov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Osada takes a swing at Monroe's ribcage but misses.
Monroe has taken the fight to the clinch.
Monroe misses with a body punch.
Osada pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Monroe is looking to clinch but Osada is avoiding it.
Osada walks into a stiff left hand from Monroe.
Monroe tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Osada manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Osada half committed to a counter leg kick.
Osada swings for the body but Monroe moves out of range.
Monroe misses with a jab, cross combination.
Monroe lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

It looks like Ken Osada has been cut.
Osada looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Monroe is trying to control but can't.

Osada slips a nice elbow through Monroe's hands, connecting with Monroe's forehead.

Osada distracts Monroe with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Osada stands up over Monroe, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Osada lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Osada stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Monroe swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Monroe is looking for a sweep. Osada is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Osada is thwarting Monroe's attempts to control the position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Monroe takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Monroe takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Monroe works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

enabling Monroe to counter with a crisp jab.
Monroe swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Osada .
Dan Monroe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Monroe will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Monroe throws a one two combo.
Osada is rocked!
Osada is looking to wear down Monroe with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Monroe connects with a right hand. Osada shakes it off.
Oh Osada is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Monroe is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Osada like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Osada from another fist facial!
