Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mike Lowe (ranked 1769 p4p, 89 weight class) and Lou Nahtic (ranked 3607 p4p, 166 weight class). Nahtic is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Sleeping My Day Away. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Lou Nahtic was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Nahtic misses.
A jab from Lowe does it's job there.
Lowe thows a leg kick but Nahtic checks it
and Nahtic counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Lowe throws a shot to the body.
Lowe throws a poor cross that misses
and Nahtic counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Lowe swings for the body but Nahtic moves out of range.
Lowe misses with a wild body shot.
Nahtic looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Lowe forces Nahtic back against the cage and clinches.
Lowe softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Nahtic told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.
Lowe lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Nahtic takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Nahtic lands a body shot.
Nahtic is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Nahtic misses with an elbow over the top.
Lowe throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Nahtics head.
With the fighters up against the cage, Nahtic throws an elbow but misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Lowe breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lowe throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nahtic misses with a low kick.
Nahtic wants to land a leg kick but Lowe is out of range.
Nahtic buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Nahtic throws a lazy right hand but Lowe sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Lowe works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Lowe works Nahtic's body with a nice hook.
Nahtic tries to clinch
and Lowe counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Lowe throws a sloppy head kick and Nahtic moves out of range easily.
Nahtic throws a low kick, looking for Lowe's leg but Lowe calmly moves out of range.
Lowe explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Nice shot lands for Lowe.
A combination from Nahtic does no damage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nahtic closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Lowe breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nahtic throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
A low kick from Nahtic is predictable there
and Lowe counters with a three punch combo that has Nahtic backing up. Nahtic nods at Lowe to acknowledge the strikes.
Lowe misses with a shot to the body
and Nahtic counters with a stiff right hand.

Lowe has taken the fight to the clinch.
Lowe's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Lowe manages to break the clinch.
Nahtic throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Lowe counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Nahtic thinking.
Lowe's jab looks to have found its range, popping Nahtic under the eye.
Lowe throws a lazy head kick
and Lowe takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
A clash of legs there as Nahtic blocks the low kick.
Lowe scores with a hook.
Lowe displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

Nahtic is rocked!
Lowe slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Nahtic is still on wobbly legs! Can Lowe finish him?
We've been told by Lowe's head coaches at Jitz MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Lowe throws a quick head kick that knocks Nahtic silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Lowe is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.
