The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trusti fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Trusti misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Trusti gets a double leg takedown into Ward's guard.
Ward is looking to stand back up but Trusti counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Ward.

Trusti wants to control but Ward is keeping him busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Trusti is trying to work for a kimura but Ward is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ward is trying to stand.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ward won't allow Trusti to pass to mount.
Ward wants to get back to full guard.

Trusti slows the pace down in half guard.
Ward knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Trusti on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fight stays on the outside here - Trusti looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ward appears to be looking for a big counter.

Ward pushes Trusti off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Trusti tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ward sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Trusti somewhat.

Ward closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Trusti quickly recovers to half guard.

Trusti is trying to maintain the position but Ward is very close to passing his half guard.
Ward tries to pass the half guard into mount. Trusti knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ward in particular looking to stall.

Trusti is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Ward is tapping! Great win for Trusti!
