Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yoshihiro Nakayama (ranked 2647 p4p, 276 weight class) and Brock Bolt (ranked 3227 p4p, 325 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Nakayama might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Destructive Power. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoshihiro Nakayama!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brock Bolt!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Francis DeMontford and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nakayama drives through and clinches with Bolt against the cage.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Nakayama.
Nakayama using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Bolt has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Nakayama is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Nakayama pushes Bolt back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Bolt is looking to take this one to the mat.
Bolt tries to throw a body punch but Nakayama avoids it by throwing Bolt back against the cage.
Nakayama tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Bolt's elbow.
Nakayama will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Bolt up against the cage.
Bolt blocks a punch to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bolt has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Nakayama is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Nakayama throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Bolt shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Nakayama is trying to defend but Bolt finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nakayama landing rabbit punches to the side of Bolt's head. Not doing much damage but still scoring a few points.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Yoshihiro Nakayama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nakayama lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Bolt at a distance.
Bolt is breathing heavily.
Nakayama fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bolt looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Are you kidding me?! Nakayama ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Bolt clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
