Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Peter Parker (ranked 56 p4p, 11 weight class) and Eric Ashton (ranked 907 p4p, 120 weight class). Ashton is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Zombie Nation. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Parker!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 19 - 0, fighting out of London, Eric Ashton!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Reed Andrews and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ashton dives in and grabs Parker's left leg, looking for a takedown. Parker pushes down on Ashton's head and hops out.
Ashton lands a jab to the nose.
Parker is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ashton has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Good shot there by Ashton.
Parker takes one on the button.
Ashton displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Parker throws out the jab.
A jab from Ashton does it's job there.
Parker is looking to slow Ashton down with leg kicks.
Parker ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ashton stalks Parker and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Parker's face. Parker staggers backwards, shaken.
Ashton's coach down at FIERCE was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Ashton's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Parker ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ashton moves away.
Parker avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ashton misses with a straight right.
A swing and a miss from Ashton.
Ashton uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Parker has time to react.

Ashton misses with a leg kick.
Parker throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ashton avoids the body shot from Parker.
Ashton unleashes a big counter combination but Parker bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Parker looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Parker slips a straight right by Ashton.
Ashton misses with an uppercut.
Parker throws a combination. Ashton tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Ashton.
Parker stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Parker wants it to stay on the feet.
Parker lands with a good body shot.
Ashton throws a shot from downtown. Parker moves away and avoids it.
It looked like Parker was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Ashton.
Parker moves out of range of the strikes.
Parker went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Parker displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ashton.
Peter Parker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eric Ashton.
Ashton misses with a straight left.
Parker was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Parker takes one to the side of the head.

Parker is looking to wear down Ashton with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

A decent looking cross lands there for Parker.
A combination from Parker does no damage.
Ashton now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Parker. Ashton does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ashton scores with a punch to the head.
Ashton is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Parker throws a big shot that misses.

Ashton drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Parker throws Ashton to one side and escapes!
Parker throws a leg kick but Ashton sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Parker throws a sloppy body shot
and Ashton counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Parker scores with a jab to the jaw.
Ashton bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Parker takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Ashton is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Parker had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Parker walks into a left hand.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ashton jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Parker checks a leg kick.
Ashton has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Parker finds it's way round the side to connect with Ashton's head.

Parker rushes Ashton and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
I was talking to Parker's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Ashton can't break the clinch.
Ashton changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Parker fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Parker wants to clinch up but Ashton keeps it at a distance.
Ashton looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Ashton misses with a straight right.
The fight stays on the outside here - Parker looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Parker misses the jab.
Ashton looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Ashton misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Parker.
Parker throws a leg kick that misses.
Parker takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Ashton moves away from the strike by Parker.
Ashton throws out a counter right but Parker avoids it with no problem.
A cross from Ashton lands.

Parker fails with an attempt to clinch.

The fighters circle momentarily. Ashton darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
An inside leg kick lands from Parker.
Parker swings for the body but Ashton moves out of range.
Parker lands with a cross.
Parker takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Ashton ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Parker moves away.
Ashton lands a nice shot that snaps Parker's head back.
A nice leg kick lands there from Parker.
Ashton misses with a straight right.
Parker steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ashton.
Parker throws a front kick aimed at Ashton's knee but Ashton avoids it well.
Ashton throws a front kick that sends Parker stumbling back into the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Parker throws a nice outside leg kick.
Parker misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Eric Ashton will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Parker wants to clinch.
Ashton counters with a body kick.
Ashton cracks Parker with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Ashton throws a solid leg kick but Parker takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Ashton.
Parker displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ashton throws out the jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Parker connects with a nice looking jab.
Parker fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ashton manages to avoid it.
Ashton looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Ashton scores with a hook to the body. Parker takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

A slapping body kick lands there for Ashton.
Parker closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Parker throws a lazy uppercut
and Ashton counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A punch lands to the side of Parker 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Parker takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Ashton steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Parker.
Parker throws a right hand that misses
letting Ashton counter with a right hand.
Parker looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Ashton gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Parker.
Ashton avoids the body shot from Parker.
Nice jab there from Ashton.


Parker is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ashton digs a good body shot into Parker's ribs.

Oh Parker is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Parker lands a really nice looking cross but Ashton seems unphased.
Parker walks straight into a right hand from Ashton - that's dropped him! Ashton jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Parker from any more punishment! Parker complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Eric Ashton!
Eric Ashton is the new middleweight champion!
A relieved looking Eric Ashton thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
