Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jari Mountain (ranked 147 p4p, 16 weight class) and Jamezdin Shraf (ranked 2487 p4p, 263 weight class). Shraf is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Road To Glory. This should be fireworks!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jamezdin Shraf!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mountain misses with a wild body shot.

Shraf's corner calls for a 1-2. Shraf obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Mountain lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Shraf connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Shraf might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Shraf.
Shraf dives in and grabs Mountain's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mountain pushes down on Shraf's head and hops out.
Shraf takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Shraf might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Mountain has got the better of the exchanges.

Shraf lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mountain, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
