Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Coker (ranked 4147 p4p, 506 weight class) and Igor Vovchanchyn Ii (ranked 6239 p4p, 635 weight class). Coker's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Europe - The Final Countdown. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Daniel Coker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Igor Vovchanchyn Ii!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Coker closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Coker is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Coker gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Coker gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Coker apologises and we restart here on the feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vovchanchyn Ii throws a shot from downtown. Coker moves away and avoids it.

Coker fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Vovchanchyn Ii sprawls well initially but Coker persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Coker really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That was a close round but I would say that Daniel Coker will probably get the nod.

As Vovchanchyn Ii looks to move away, Coker throws a big counter combo but Vovchanchyn Ii just gets out of the way.

Coker tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Coker has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
