Tower comes to the cage accompanied by Kanye - Power. Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Iain Tower!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Big Murha!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murha feints a jab promting Tower to slip. Murha then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Tower slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Tower displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Murha throws out the jab.
Murha lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Murha takes a swing at Tower's ribcage but misses.
Tower throws the left hand but Murha avoids the punch easily.
Murha misses with a wild body shot.
Murha swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Murha slips a straight right by Tower.
Murha ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tower moves away.
Murha lands a nice looking body shot.
Tower keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Murha.
Murha lands with a right hand.
A punch combination from Murha misses.
Good work by Tower as he checks the leg kick.
Murha misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Tower.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It looks like Iain Tower has been cut.
Murha tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Tower is able to avoid easily.

Tower on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Murha. Murha obviously looking to wear him down.

A nice side step and Murha releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Murha manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Tower keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Murha lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Tower misses with an attempted mid kick.

Nice combo by Tower! Oh, that's hurt him - Murha falls to the canvas and Tower follows him into side control.


It looks like Big Murha has been cut.
Murha prevents Tower from moving into mount.
Murha is not content to let Tower control the position.
Murha is trying to get back to half guard.

Tower wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Murha, who protects the arm well.
Tower has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Tower trying to control the action but Murha is working from the bottom.
Tower is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Murha will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Tower working the ground and pound but Murha is defending the strikes.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Tower throwing strikes but Murha manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Tower is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Murha's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Tower tries to get to full guard but Murha has control of the leg.
Murha wants to pass to mount but Tower is defending the position.
Murha is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Big Murha dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Murha tries to score with a low kick but Tower moves his leg out of the way.
Murha does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Murha throws out a leg kick but Tower moves out of range and Murha only half commits.
Tower throws a counter high kick but Murha was just alert enough to avoid it.

Tower knocks Murha to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?
Tower working the strikes but Murha uses the opportunity to regain half guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Tower trying to control from Murha's half guard. Murha has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Tower wants to control from the top but Murha keeps moving.
Murha not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Tower is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Murha is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Murha utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Tower sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Murha keeping moving, preventing Tower from controlling successfully.
Murha wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Murha takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Murha pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
That kick from Tower tenderised Murha's leg. Murha is trying to keep his angry face on.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Tower.
Murha throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Tower closes the distance and pushes Murha back into the cage.
Tower jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Murha walks away with a smile on his face. Tower gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Murha misses with an uppercut. Tower saw that one coming.
Left hook, right uppercut from Murha.
Murha throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Murha moves out of range of the strikes.
Murha throws a leg kick that misses.
Murha throws the kick towards the body but Tower avoids it.
Murha lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Murha.
An attempted straight right counter from Tower misses the target.
Murha lands a jab to the head.
Murha tries to land a body kick
and Tower counters with an inside leg kick.
Murha thuds his shin into the meat of Tower's side.
Murha throws a series of punches but Tower avoids them all with ease.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Iain Tower will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Murha stuns Tower with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Tower lands a left and a right that sends Murha crashing to the canvas! Tower dives into mount looking to finish!


Murha is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tower loads up with a big shot that hurts Murha! He's pulled Tower in close but Tower has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Murha survive? More strikes from Tower and Murha is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Iain Tower!
