Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joao Vitor Xavier (ranked 3831 p4p, 418 weight class) and Gunter Schultz (ranked 2561 p4p, 287 weight class). Schultz has chosen Imperial March (L.O.D. Rage Mix) as his entrance music. Joao Vitor Xavier has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Schultz does no damage.
Schultz fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Schultz has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Xavier throws a poor cross that misses
and Schultz counters with a left and a right that stings Xavier.
Schultz looks to land a combination. Xavier sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Schultz moves away from the strike by Xavier.
Xavier misses the jab.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Xavier, as that shot connected.
Schultz fails with a takedown attempt.
Schultz throws a left and a right that both miss
and Xavier counters with a nice uppercut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Xavier makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Schultz takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Schultz is rocked!

Schultz is still in real trouble! Can Xavier finish him?

Schultz tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Schultz seems to have recovered his senses.
Xavier tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Schultz wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Xavier is working hard here to advance position.

Schultz is working to tighten his grip on Xavier's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Xavier has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Schultz is really squeezing tight and eventually Xavier passes out! Schultz breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Gunter Schultz spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
