Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mister Island (ranked 612 p4p, 81 weight class) and Daniel Sainty (ranked 1246 p4p, 155 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sainty shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Sainty wants to pass to mount but Island is defending the position.
Island has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sainty is working away from the top position though.
Island is controlling Sainty's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Sainty is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Island wants to control but Sainty is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Sainty shoots in but Island avoids the takedown attempt easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Mister Island will probably get the nod.

Island got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sainty has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Island has managed to get both his arms back between Sainty's legs - danger averted.

Mister Island decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
