Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rei Bourke (ranked 2811 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Ryu (ranked 4001 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryu has chosen The Chainsmokers - Sick Boy as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ken Ryu!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Sandra Marshall.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bourke thuds his right hand into Ryu's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Ryu keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ryu drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Bourke defends it well.
Bourke misses the shot to the body.
Ryu feints the counter takedown.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bourke. Ryu does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bourke takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Ryu avoids the body shot from Bourke.
Ryu changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Ryu looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Ryu drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

It looks like Ken Ryu has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ryu takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Bourke cracks a nice hook into Ryu's ribs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A left lands for Bourke.
Bourke misses with a straight right.
Rei Bourke is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Bourke feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Ryu sprawling to the canvas! Ryu rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Bourke finish him?!

Ryu is rocked!
Bourke drops Ryu with a big left hand! Ryu is injured, injured bad! Bourke jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rei Bourke!
Rei Bourke was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
