Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Justin Magnum (ranked 3819 p4p, 178 weight class) and Kassim Suluhu (ranked 3209 p4p, 150 weight class). Kassim Suluhu is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Justin Magnum!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kassim Suluhu!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Eddie Farnsworth and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suluhu slips under a jab from Magnum.
We've been told by Magnum's head coaches at Fit-Out that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Magnum fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Magnum slaps away a takedown attempt from Suluhu, before circling back to the center of the mat.
An attempted straight right counter from Magnum misses the target.

Suluhu shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Magnum's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Magnum is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Magnum on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Magnum tries to get out of the position.
Suluhu showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Suluhu advances to half guard.
Magnum knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Suluhu on the ground.
Suluhu takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Suluhu trying to mount his opponent but Magnum defends it.
Magnum flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Magnum tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Suluhu manages to move to mount!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Suluhu tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
BOOM! Suluhu connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Suluhu looking to control but Magnum is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Suluhu controlling the pace for now.
Magnum is in a horrible position here. Suluhu smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Suluhu lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Magnum hang on?

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Suluhu connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Suluhu landing strikes from the mount and Magnum is in trouble!
Magnum taking shots to the head.


Magnum is rocked!
Suluhu is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Magnum can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Oh Magnum is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Suluhu lands a big elbow.
Suluhu looking to control and managing it successfully.
Suluhu has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Suluhu scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Magnum?
The referee warns Magnum that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Suluhu controlling from the full mount.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Suluhu working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Suluhu postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Magnum in real trouble here! The ref calls for Magnum to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kassim Suluhu!
Kassim Suluhu decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
