Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Steve Robles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Russell Bell!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robles throws a sloppy head kick and Bell moves out of range easily.
Robles fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Bell shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Robles pinned against the cage. Robles gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Robles leaves Bell with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Bell circles away from the clinch attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bell shoots in for a takedown but Robles shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Steve Robles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Russell Bell.

Robles has taken the fight to the clinch.

Bell's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bell circles away from the clinch attempt.
As Robles backs off Bell throws a huge counter combo but Robles manages to avoid it all.

Bell has closed the distance and engaged Robles in a clinch.
Robles tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Robles jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bell walks away with a smile on his face. Robles gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Robles moves into the clinch.
Robles tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Bell breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Robles rushes Bell and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Robles pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Bell looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Robles swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Bell tried to score with a low kick but Robles checks it.
Robles appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Robles shoots in looking for a takedown. Bell tries to sprawl out of it but Robles keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bell manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Bell.
A nice inside leg kick there by Bell. That's going to slow Robles down.
Some wild striking there from Bell.
Bell tries a head kick but it misses.
Robles wants to clinch.
Robles backing away here, and Bell unleashes a leg kick that just misses.

Bell gets tackled into the cage by Robles. Robles maintains the clinch.

Bell breaks from the clinch.
Bell throws a right and a left that both miss.

Bell shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Robles manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Bell stands up and waves to Robles to follow him.
Robles moves in looking to clinch but Bell pushes him off.

Robles wants to clinch.
Bell lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Bell looks to throw a body kick

and Robles counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bell won't be happy with that.
Bell wants to get back to his feet but Robles is dominant here and he's now got Bell's back!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Robles lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
Bell trying to get back to his feet but Robles is in full control for now.

Robles has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Bell has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Russell Bell will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Bell scores with a one two! Robles had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Robles clinches with his opponent.

Robles pulls guard effortlessly.
Bell would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Steve Robles overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Robles really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bell misses with a jab, cross combination.
Russell Bell seems to be getting the better of the standup.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Robles has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Bell.
Steve Robles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Bell manages to break the clinch.

Robles fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bell stalks Robles and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Robles's face. Robles staggers backwards, shaken.
Robles moves in looking to clinch but Bell pushes him off.
Robles dodges the punch combination from Bell.
Bell is breathing heavily.
Bell throws a nice inside leg kick.
Robles tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Bell counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Bell closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Bell decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Robles has managed to clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Come on Robles - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Bell tries to pull guard but Robles won't allow it.
Robles jumps guard but Bell turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Robles tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Bell just stands there and leans against the cage.

Bell escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bell dives in and grabs Robles's left leg, looking for a takedown. Robles pushes down on Bell's head and hops out.
Robles moves in looking to clinch but Bell pushes him off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Russell Bell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

and Robles counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Robles lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Bell throws a big counter head kick but Robles avoids it with no problem.

and Bell counters with a three punch combo that has Robles backing up. Robles nods at Bell to acknowledge the strikes.
Bell throws a body shot but no joy.

Robles clinches up with Bell and pushes him back against the cage.

Bell takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Robles drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bell pulls his leg out and moves away.
Robles moves in looking to clinch but Bell pushes him off.
Robles closes the distance looking to clinch
and Bell counters with a right hand to the body.

Robles takes the fight into the clinch.

Bell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Robles doesn't manage to clinch there - Bell circles away.
Bell lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Crunch! Bell slams his shin into Robles's torso.

Robles is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bell's half guard.
Bell wants to stand back up but Robles manages to pass into side control.
Robles connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Bell some visible discomfort.
Robles will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Robles lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Robles thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Bell throws Robles to one side and escapes!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Robles avoids the head kick by Bell.
Robles swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Bell shoots in for a double leg but Robles sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Robles is looking to clinch.
Steve Robles has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Russell Bell is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Russell Bell is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Bell.
