PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kasey Scorpion (ranked 233 p4p, 33 weight class) and Dexter Scarface (ranked 673 p4p, 83 weight class). Scorpion comes into the arena with Jiu Jitsu blaring out of the sound system. Scarface is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Blinded By Lights. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scorpion wants to clinch.
Scorpion with a jab.
Scorpion pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Scarface back to the cage. Scorpion follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Scorpion misses with a straight left.
Scarface swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Scorpion is looking to clinch but Scarface is avoiding it.
Scorpion misses with a looping left.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A jab from Scarface does it's job there.
Scarface cracks Scorpion with a right hand to the side of the head.

Scorpion closes the distance and clinches.
Scarface swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Scorpion tries to throw a body punch but Scarface avoids it by throwing Scorpion back against the cage.

Scarface breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Scarface looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Scarface slips a jab and a cross from Scorpion.
Scorpion loads up on a big right hand but Scarface slips the punch.
Scorpion misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Scorpion connects with a looping right hand.
Scarface throws an overhand right that lands on Scorpion's shoulder, as Scorpion tries to avoid the shot.
Scorpion misses the shot to the body.
A big left from Scorpion misses.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Scarface! But no joy.
Scorpion tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Scarface was well out of range. Poor timing from Scorpion.
Scorpion digs a good body shot into Scarface's ribs.
Scarface avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Scarface swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Scarface loads up on a big right hand but Scorpion slips the punch.

Scorpion tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Scorpion takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Scarface punishes Scorpion's body with a nice straight punch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Scarface connects with a single shot there.
Scorpion throws the left hand but Scarface avoids the punch easily.
Scorpion really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Scorpion cracks Scarface with a good jab.
Kasey Scorpion seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Scorpion misses with a double jab.
Scarface uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Scorpion.
A little jabbing left from Scarface on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Scarface takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Scorpion lands a nice hook to Scarface's body. Scarface takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Scarface breaks the clinch.
Scarface throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Scorpion sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Scarface misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Scorpion.
A lazy left from Scorpion finds it's target.
Scorpion lands a lovely overhand right.

Scarface is rocked!
Scorpion steps in with a hook that catches Scarface right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Scorpion follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Scarface looks absolutely devastated.
