Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Calvin Klein (ranked 2234 p4p, 249 weight class) and Hwai Ja (ranked 1918 p4p, 223 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Hwai Ja!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Santiago Holmes and Sandra Marshall.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Klein has his takedown stuffed
and Klein takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Nice body punch from Ja.
The crowd cheers as Ja lands an impressive looking overhand right. Klein doesn't seem phased though.
Ja uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Klein.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Ja! But no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Klein shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Klein shoots in looking for a takedown. Ja tries to sprawl out of it but Klein keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ja manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
It seemed like Ja was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Ja misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Klein.
Ja scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Klein doesn't seem bothered though.

Ja paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Ja cracks Klein with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Klein moves forwards but Ja connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Ja cracks Klein with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Klein looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Ja finish him?

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ja uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Klein.
Klein walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Ja has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.

Klein doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Ja counters with a crisp right hand that drops Klein! Ja lets Klein back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Oh Klein is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Klein seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Ja lands with a good body shot.
Ja fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Klein walks into a stiff left hand from Ja.

Klein is rocked!

Ja feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Klein sprawling to the canvas! Klein rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Ja finish him?!
Oh Klein is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Klein shoots for a takedown but Ja saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
It seemed like Ja was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Klein seems to have got his legs back now.
Ja comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Ja connects with a crisp jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hwai Ja dominated that round.

Klein avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Klein attempts a counter takedown but Ja avoids it well and moves away.
Ja lands a lovely overhand right.

Ja drops Klein with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Klein looks back up at him and smiles so Ja waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Ja cracks Klein with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Ja has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Klein to stand back up!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ja just misses with a punch to the body.
Ja lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Klein falls backwards - clearly groggy! Ja dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
