Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between DJ Giannis (ranked 3457 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Sachz (ranked 4557 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sachz misses with a combination
and Giannis counters with a slapping leg kick.
Sachz swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Giannis misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
And Sachz tries to counter it with a takedown but Giannis pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Giannis throws a shot from downtown. Sachz moves away and avoids it.
Giannis pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Giannis.
Giannis has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Beast in the buildup to the fight.
Giannis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sachz manages to avoid it.
Giannis looks for the body kick but Sachz saw that one coming.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sachz goes for a double leg but Giannis avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Giannis continues to drive forward.
It looked like Giannis wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

and Sachz counters with a nice double leg into side control. Giannis won't be happy with that.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Sachz shoots in for a takedown but Giannis shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

and Sachz decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Giannis's guard.
