Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Baakir Camara (ranked 4893 p4p, 474 weight class) and Bruno Bock (ranked 5164 p4p, 497 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Baakir Camara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bruno Bock!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Santiago Holmes and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Camara.
Despite the aggression on Bock's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Camara gets a double leg takedown into Bock's guard.
Camara showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Camara trying to control the position from guard on top but Bock is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Camara is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Bock!

Bock really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Camara. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Camara is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Bock has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Bock is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Camara gets his way!
A bit of a pause in the action here. Camara controlling the positon.

Camara is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Bock is defending well though. Camara let's go of the attempt for now.

Camara working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Camara is not going to allow Bock to sit and survive in this position.

Camara is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Bock has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Camara is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Bock knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Bock for a finish.

Camara had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bock defends it easily.
Camara wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bock stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Camara swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Camara avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Camara appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Camara fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bock avoids it really well and circles away.
Camara uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bock.
Bock throws a jab but it's blocked by Camara.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Horrible takedown attempt by Camara or perhaps it was just good defense by Bock, which made it look bad.
Bock appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

Camara changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bock looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Camara tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Camara has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Bock is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Camara's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Still in half guard, Camara seems content to control.
Bock is looking to control Camara's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bock avoid being mounted?

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bock won't allow Camara to pass to mount.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Camara here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Camara shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bock is trying to defend but Camara finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bock throws a series of punches but Camara moves out of range.
Bock moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.


It looks like Baakir Camara has been cut.
Bock throws the left hand but Camara avoids the punch easily.
A big right from Bock misses.
Bock misses with a straight right.
Camara is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bock can do to turn this around?
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bock lands a lovely overhand right.
Bruno Bock has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Camara fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bock sprawls well initially but Camara persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Baakir Camara showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Camara, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In his post fight interview, Baakir Camara started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
