The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rivera fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Dux Jr to the ground. Rivera is now in Dux Jr's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rivera stays in close to Dux Jr's body and controls the position.
Dux Jr knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rivera on the ground.

Rivera stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Dux Jr.
Dux Jr fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Rivera.
Rivera looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Dux Jr catches Rivera with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Dux Jr rushes Rivera and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
