Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mir clinches.
Mir misses with a punch to the body.
Karlsson blocking some punches.
Karlsson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mir gets the takedown into side control.
Mir controlling from side mount.
Karlsson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mir on the ground.
Karlsson stops Mir from passing to mount.
Mir tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Mir working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mir wants to lay and pray for a moment but Karlsson keeps working.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Karlsson takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Mir creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Karlsson sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Mir goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Karlsson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Mir's guard! Nice work there by Karlsson!
Mir is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Karlsson is aware though and is defending well.
Mir is looking to cinch up a triangle. Karlsson throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Mir's body to avoid the submission. Mir has instead reached around Karlsson's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Mir arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
