The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alicarte goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

It looks like Jeffrey Foster has been cut.

Foster gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Alicarte jumps guard and drags Foster to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Foster avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Alicarte working for a triangle but Foster defends it easily.
Foster has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Alicarte is proving hard to escape from.
Foster postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Foster tries to stand but Alicarte is controlling from the bottom.
