The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Musaev looks to land a combination. Aliev sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Aliev dives in for a single leg takedown but Musaev sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Aliev wants to clinch up but Musaev keeps it at a distance.
Musaev appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Aliev fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Musaev manages to avoid it.
Musaev scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Musaev is staying tight to Aliev's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Aliev wants to get back to his feet but Musaev drags him back down.
A lull in the action here as Musaev stalls from top position.
Musaev works to advance to full mount. Aliev defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Musaev cracks Aliev with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Aliev tries to hold on but Musaev postures up.
Musaev controlling the position easily from mount.

Aliev takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Aliev is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Musaev locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Aliev is forced to tap!
