PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sambo Trambai (ranked 2319 p4p, 322 weight class) and Mr Skull (ranked 2875 p4p, 387 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sambo Trambai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mr Skull!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Steve Montenegro and Reed Andrews.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skull tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Trambai is able to avoid easily.
Trambai throws a right and a left that both miss.
Trambai lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Skull.
Trambai throwing a counter right hand but Skull manages to avoid it.
Trambai lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Trambai bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Skull's head.
Trambai stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

It looks like Mr Skull has been cut.
Trambai misses with a series of wild punches.
Skull blocks a jab.
Trambai will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Trambai throws a head kick but Skull moves out of range.
Skull throws a sloppy head kick and Trambai moves out of range easily.
Trambai appears to be looking for a big counter.
Trambai lands with a right hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Skull throws a leg kick but Trambai checks it.

and Trambai counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Skull is rocked!
Trambai connects with a superb combination that knocks Skull out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Trambai before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Skull!

During a confident post fight interview, Sambo Trambai thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
