AFC Grappling Championships PBP Commentary


Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Daniel Murphy (ranked 4896 p4p, 494 weight class) and Cain Alvarado (ranked 7602 p4p, 607 weight class). Murphy comes to the cage accompanied by Battering Ram - 'Come Out and Fight' Irish Folk. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Mauricio Rocha and Edson Gomes.

We've been hearing good reports from Murphy's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Murphy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Alvarado doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Alvarado manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Murphy quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Alvarado has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Murphy celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
