Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Carlos Castillo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Roy Fergusson!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fergusson misses with a takedown attempt - Castillo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Castillo is looking to counter punch.
Castillo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Castillo has Fergusson up against the cage in a clinch.
Fergusson is working for takedown but Castillo is calmly controlling the position for now.

Fergusson is trying to maintain a safe position but Castillo gets an underhook and turns Fergusson into the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fergusson has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Castillo is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Fergusson jumps guard but Castillo turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Carlos Castillo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roy Fergusson.

Fergusson is trying to force a seperation but Castillo has the dominant position.

Fergusson tries to keep at a distance but Castillo has taken the fight into the clinch.
Castillo is leaning against Fergusson and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
The referee calls for Castillo to work.
Castillo looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Castillo gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Fergusson.
Fergusson has had enough of the clinch but Castillo keeps him there for the moment.
Castillo is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Castillo seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

A frustrated look appears on Fergusson's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Fergusson blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Castillo.
Fergusson wants a takedown.
Castillo misses with a short punch on the inside.
Fergusson wants to get back to striking at distance but Castillo won't allow it.
Fergusson wants to break free but Castillo has control.
Castillo lands a hook to the side of the head.
Fergusson has Castillo pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Castillo manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Fergusson is trying to push Castillo away but Castillo has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Fergusson tries to pull guard but Castillo won't allow it.
Castillo pushes Fergusson back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Fergusson looks winded!
Castillo lands a nice uppercut.

Fergusson pulls guard successfully.
Castillo is stalling in the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Castillo tries to free his leg and advance position but Fergusson is retaining full guard.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carlos Castillo dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Fergusson on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Fergusson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Castillo moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Castillo scores with a jab. Fergusson acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Castillo is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fergusson can do to turn this around?

Fergusson is rocked!
Fergusson tries to clinch there but Castillo circles away.
Fergusson is still on wobbly legs! Can Castillo finish him?
Castillo keeps the fight on the outside.
A quick step to the side and Castillo tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Fergusson seems to have recovered his senses.
Carlos Castillo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fergusson tries for a takedown but Castillo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Castillo getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Fergusson on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Fergusson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Castillo drops Fergusson with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Fergusson looks back up at him and smiles so Castillo waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fergusson has his takedown stuffed
and Castillo counters with a big right hand! Oh Fergusson is in trouble here! Castillo follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
