The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Butabi tries to clinch but King moves away
and King makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
King keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
King looks to score with a jab to the body but Butabi is just out of range.
King takes one on the button.
King lands with a right hand.
Butabi misses with an uppercut.
King throws out a loose jab but Butabi uses good head movement to avoid it.
An inside leg kick from Butabi misses.
King bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
King slips under a jab from Butabi.
A slow jab from Butabi misses its intended target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
King lunges at Butabi with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Butabi's hand.
King throws a lazy right hand but Butabi sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
King staying out of range there.
King throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Butabi sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Butabi throws a jab when King was well out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Butabi throws a low kick but King moves out of range easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
King throws a right and a left that both miss.
The fighters circle momentarily. King darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Butabi gets the takedown into side control.
King is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
King dodges the ground and pound from Butabi.

Butabi has worked his way into a potential kimura here. King is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Butabi yanks on the arm and King is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Butabi.
