And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sooraj Kayal!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Ren Mimura and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Harrison shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Harrison takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Kayal is looking for a sweep. Harrison is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Harrison wants to control but Kayal is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kayal keeping hold of Harrison's head, controlling as best he can.
Harrison is taking a breather. Kayal says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kayal is refusing to be controlled, as Harrison sits in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Harrison is controlling the pace.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Kayal cracks Harrison with a good jab.
Harrison looks for a takedown but Kayal sprawls well.
Harrison is looking to clinch.

letting Kayal counter with a right hand.
Kayal lands with an overhand left.

Harrison dives in for a single leg takedown but Kayal sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Harrison tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

and Kayal makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Kayal gets through Harrison's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Harrison throws a head punch that misses.
Harrison jumps guard but Kayal stands there with Harrison around his waist. Harrison gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Harrison. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Harrison fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Kayal digs a right hand underneath Harrison's ribcage. Harrison let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Kayal lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Kayal is leaning against Harrison and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kayal digs a right hand into Harrison's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Harrison's gas tank.

Kayal lands with a light punch inside.

Kayal pushes Harrison back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Kayal lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Kayal lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Harrison backwards.

Kayal lands with a right to the head.
Kayal gets underhooks to prevent Harrison's takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sooraj Kayal dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Kayal stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kayal wants it to stay on the feet.
The fighters circle momentarily. Kayal darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Harrison fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Harrison on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Kayal cracks Harrison with a good jab.
Harrison on the wrong end of a nice hook.


Harrison is rocked!
Harrison takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Oh Harrison is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kayal lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Kayal finds Harrison's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Harrison flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Kayal lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Harrison will be OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sooraj Kayal!
