The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez wants to clinch up but Lutoborov keeps it at a distance.

Lutoborov closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lutoborov lands in his opponent's guard.
Lutoborov stands up over Rodriguez, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Lutoborov's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Lutoborov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Lutoborov is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Lutoborov might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Lutoborov looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Rodriguez can't hide his disappointment, as Lutoborov celebrates the victory.
