Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lock Bresnar (ranked 1177 p4p, 53 weight class) and Jimi Powell (ranked 1037 p4p, 42 weight class). Bresnar comes into the arena with ABOVE THE LAW - murder rap blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Powell's choice of entrance music: 8 Mile. Jimi Powell is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Powell shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bresnar is trying to defend but Powell finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Powell throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Bresnar is trying to get back to full guard.
Powell is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Powell avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bresnar has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Powell has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Powell accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Powell gets to his feet and stands over Bresnar, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Bresnar felt that one! Powell unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Bresnar from any more punishment!
