Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tuccio Turturro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Boo Yaj!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yaj swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Yaj comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Turturro gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Yaj counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Yaj with a jab.
A lazy left from Yaj finds it's target.
Turturro shoots and misses
and Yaj makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Good exchange - Yaj coming out on top.
Decent striking displayed by Yaj there.
Turturro takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.


Turturro is rocked!
Yaj looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Turturro fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Yaj to the ground. Turturro is now in Yaj's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Turturro is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Turturro wants to control from the top but Yaj keeps moving.
Turturro is really struggling to control Yaj but he's trying to hold on to the position.
We've been hearing good reports from Turturro's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Turturro postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Yaj is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Turturro, into his guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Turturro is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Yaj rolls with it to try and escape but Turturro cranks on the arm and Yaj is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Tuccio Turturro!
Tuccio Turturro tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
