Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Bart Greer and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Henderson enables Smith to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Henderson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Smith got a little sloppy there for a moment and Henderson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Smith has managed to get both his arms back between Henderson 's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smith wants to control from the top but Henderson keeps moving.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Henderson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Smith defends it easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Henderson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Smith gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Henderson is looking to control Smith's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Henderson avoid being mounted?

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Henderson tries to bench press Smith off him but Smith keeps the position.

Smith is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Henderson is trying to escape and Smith transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Henderson is forced to tap! Nice work there by Smith! Very nice indeed!
