Kriel is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Fokofpolisiekar - Fokofpolisiekar. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jan Kriel!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kriel fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Johnsson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Kriel counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Johnsson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kriel was well out of range. Poor timing from Johnsson.
Johnsson misses the shot to the body.
Johnsson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
The fighters circling - Kriel throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Johnsson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

It looks like Jan Kriel has been cut.
Johnsson lands with an overhand left.
Kriel moves out of range of the strikes.
Kriel let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Kriel misses the jab.
Johnsson looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Johnsson fakes the leg kick and cracks Kriel in the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Johnsson throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Kriel to counter with a crisp jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kriel tries to bum rush Johnsson with a series of wild strikes but Johnsson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Johnsson with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Kriel throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Johnsson throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Johnsson has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kriel.

Johnsson cracks Kriel with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Johnsson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Kriel to stand back up!

Kriel is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A big left from Johnsson misses.
Kriel is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Johnsson with a body shot.
Kriel is still on wobbly legs! Can Johnsson finish him?
A swing and a miss from Johnsson.
Johnsson cracks Kriel with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Kriel falls to his knees and Johnsson doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
