PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jaydolf Kiltler (ranked 4485 p4p, 456 weight class) and Terry Workmen (ranked 24581 p4p, 710 weight class). Kiltler comes to the ring accompanied by March!. Workmen is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Working for the Weekend. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jaydolf Kiltler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Terry Workmen!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Kiltler or perhaps it was just good defense by Workmen, which made it look bad.
Kiltler fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Workmen instigates a clinch.

Kiltler breaks the clinch.
Workmen lands a glancing blow to the side of Kiltler's head.
Kiltler shoots in looking for a takedown. Workmen tries to sprawl out of it but Kiltler keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Workmen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jaydolf Kiltler. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice uppercut lands for Workmen. That snapped Kiltler's head back.
Workmen misses with a takedown attempt - Kiltler sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Workmen closes the distance and clinches.

Workmen looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Kiltler!
Kiltler dodges the ground and pound from Workmen.
Kiltler manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Kiltler looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Workmen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Workmen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kiltler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Workmen is trying to maintain the position but Kiltler is very close to passing his half guard.
Workmen misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Kiltler seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Workmen blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kiltler.
Kiltler is taking a breather. Workmen says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Kiltler is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Kiltler stops Workmen from getting back to his feet.
Workmen is trying to control but can't.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Workmen avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
No luck for Kiltler with that takedown attempt.
Kiltler is breathing heavily.
Workmen wants to clinch up but Kiltler keeps it at a distance.
Workmen fails with the takedown.
Kiltler shoots for a takedown but Workmen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Workmen is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Kiltler darts in looking for a takedown but Workmen gets double underhooks and turns Kiltler into the ropes.
Workmen dives in for a single leg takedown but Kiltler sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the ropes.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Kiltler stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kiltler wants it to stay on the feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Workmen fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Workmen clinches with his opponent.
Workmen will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Kiltler up against the ropes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Terry Workmen dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Kiltler wants to clinch but Workmen slips to the side
and Workmen counters with a series of strikes. Kiltler will be more careful next time no doubt.
Kiltler walks into a straight right hand from Workmen.
Workmen shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kiltler defends it nicely.
Workmen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Workmen leaves Kiltler with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Workmen is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes.
Workmen wants to stall.
Kiltler has had enough of the clinch but Workmen keeps him there for the moment.

Kiltler pulls Workmen into guard.
Workmen is fighting to break Kiltler's control of his arms but Kiltler is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Workmen trying to control the position from guard on top but Kiltler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Kiltler working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Workmen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Kiltler is tightening it up a little... Workmen has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Workmen reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Workmen taps out! Nice BJJ there by Kiltler!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Jaydolf Kiltler!
Jaydolf Kiltler took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'I am not a sheep fucker!'.
Terry Workmen spoke after the fight, saying 'Win or loss, I am your workin' man!'.
