The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Southall lands with a kick to the temple. Hughes shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like Ricky Hughes has been cut.
Southall throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Southall, as that shot connected.

It looks like Neville Southall has been cut.
Hughes cracks Southall with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
A clash of legs there as Hughes blocks the low kick.
Hughes misses with a jab to the body
and Southall counters with a low kick, right behind Hughes 's knee.
Southall connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Southall scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Southall throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Hughes dips to his left and cracks Southall with an uppercut!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Southall throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Hughes chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Southall can pounce on him.

Southall throws a leg kick which misses Hughes's front leg but catches the back leg as Hughes tries to avoid it.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Southall moves out of range of the strikes.

Southall lands a big head kick that sends Hughes tumbling to the mat! Southall takes a step backwards and waves Hughes back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Hughes is rocked!
Southall throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Hughes crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
