Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Boris Mcpherson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Khydd Dienamyte!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Hugh Johnson and Francis DeMontford.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dienamyte has Mcpherson up against the cage in a clinch.

Dienamyte working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mcpherson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mcpherson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Mcpherson controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Dienamyte looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Mcpherson passes into side control.
Dienamyte is looking for a sweep.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

You can see the frustration on Dienamyte's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Mcpherson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Mcpherson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Dienamyte for as long as he can get away with.

Mcpherson has hold of one of Dienamyte's legs. Dienamyte is fighting the takedown attempt but Mcpherson gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Dienamyte is looking for a triangle but Mcpherson pushes his legs off easily.

Dienamyte looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Mcpherson has picked Dienamyte up and slammed him! Dienamyte can't keep hold of the triangle and Mcpherson manages to pass to side control!

Dienamyte perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Mcpherson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Mcpherson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dienamyte pulls his head out easily.

Dienamyte lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Dienamyte lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Dienamyte winds up and cracks Mcpherson with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Dienamyte seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mcpherson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Mcpherson is not content to let Dienamyte control the position.
Dienamyte might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Mcpherson haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Dienamyte seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Dienamyte fails to land the takedown.
Khydd Dienamyte seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dienamyte throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mcpherson appears to be looking for a big counter.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Dienamyte goes for a double leg but Mcpherson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mcpherson continues to drive forward.
Mcpherson feinted with a counter takedown.

Dienamyte drives through and clinches with Mcpherson against the cage.
Mcpherson fails to pull guard.

Dienamyte pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Dienamyte shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Mcpherson manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Mcpherson tries to keep at a distance but Dienamyte has taken the fight into the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Mcpherson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dienamyte can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

A close second round but Khydd Dienamyte will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Mcpherson gets control of Dienamyte's arms and successfully pulls guard. Mcpherson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Mcpherson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Dienamyte throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Dienamyte is trying to maintain the position but Mcpherson is very close to passing his half guard.
