The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gentili tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hudson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gentili somewhat.

Gentili fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hudson sprawls well initially but Gentili persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Hudson bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Gentili has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hudson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Gentili.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hudson wants to take a breather but Gentili is having none of it.

Hudson throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Gentili crashing down! Gentili tries to stagger back to his feet but Hudson just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Gentili asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.

After the fight, Jeff Hudson was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
