Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kenny Knight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, DJ Rinky Dink!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rinky Dink lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Knight will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Rinky Dink misses with a wild combination.
It looked like Knight wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Rinky Dink throws a lazy right hand but Knight sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Knight drives through and clinches with Rinky Dink against the cage.
Knight misses with a hook to the ribs.
Knight softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Knight blocks an uppercut.

Knight manages to break the clinch.
DJ Rinky Dink seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Knight moves away from the strike by Rinky Dink.
We've been hearing reports that Knight has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Knight fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rinky Dink, pushing him back against the cage.
Knight tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Knight tries to pull guard but Rinky Dink forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kenny Knight. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Knight drags the fight down to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rinky Dink is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Rinky Dink won't allow Knight to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rinky Dink's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Knight wants to stand but Rinky Dink is controlling the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Knight had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rinky Dink defends it easily.
Rinky Dink controlling from the top position.
Let's hope that Rinky Dink has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Rinky Dink throws a big elbow that misses.
Rinky Dink is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Rinky Dink wants to control from the top but Knight keeps moving.
Rinky Dink might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Knight haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Knight takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Rinky Dink lands a big right hand that sends Knight crashing to the mat! Rinky Dink stays standing though and waves Knight back to his feet!


Knight is rocked!


It looks like Kenny Knight has been cut.

Rinky Dink feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Knight sprawling to the canvas! Knight rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Rinky Dink finish him?!
Oh Knight is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Knight switches off momentarily and Rinky Dink cracks him with a monster right hand! Knight topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Rinky Dink dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Rinky Dink!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). DJ Rinky Dink!
