Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Sicila (ranked 5846 p4p, 0 weight class) and Young Lad (ranked 7252 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sam Sicila!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Young Lad!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and Dirk Anderson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lad swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Sicila.
Sicila throws a lazy body kick
and Lad counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Some bone on bone action there as Lad checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Sicila rushes Lad and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Sicila has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Sicila avoiding damage.
Sicila working hard to break the clinch.
Lad works on Sicila's body with a couple of short punches.
Sicila tries to land knees in the clinch but Lad avoids the damage to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sicila wants a takedown but no success here.
Lad lands a nice shot to the body.
Lad lands a left hand.
Sicila trying to control the position but instead, Lad has worked for underhooks and has pushed Sicila into the cage.
Lad works on Sicila's body with a couple of short punches.

Sicila is trying to break the clinch but Lad is controlling him.
Lad lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Sicila backwards.
Sicila pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
A short uppercut from Lad.
Sicila tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Sicila misses with a punch on the inside.
Lad prevents Sicila from breaking the clinch.
Sicila wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lad has him pressed against the cage.
Sicila jumps guard but Lad turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Lad's coach down at Island Safe Space was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Lad's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Still in the clinch, Lad scores with a nice short uppercut.

Sicila wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lad has him pressed against the cage.
Nice body punch from Lad.
A body shot lands from Lad.
A short uppercut from Lad.

Sicila is rocked!
Lad lands with a right to the head.
Oh Sicila is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lad unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Sicila! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Lad is unloading with more strikes now! Sicila drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Young Lad!
Young Lad bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
