The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Minasian has his takedown stuffed
and Tully connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Minasian shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Tully defends it nicely.

Tully fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Minasian has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Minasian can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Tully controls the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Minasian has an active guard here but Tully has managed to pass into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Minasian is looking for a sweep. Tully is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Minasian is looking to get back to is feet but Tully passes into side control.

Minasian is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Tully sees it coming and defends easily.
Minasian wants to free his trapped foot but Tully is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Tully has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Minasian is working away from the top position though.

Tully makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Tully.
Tully is controlling Minasian's posture.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Tully is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Tully is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Minasian tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tully paws at him with a jab and circles away.
It looked like Tully was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Minasian.
Minasian has a takedown stuffed.
Minasian takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Tully is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Minasian can do to turn this around?

Tully swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Minasian shoots in for a takedown but Tully shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Minasian closes the distance and clinches up with Tully, looking for a takedown. Minasian pushes Tully against the cage but Tully circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Tully uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Minasian has time to react.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Minasian on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Tully scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Tully scores with a hook to the body. Minasian takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

and Tully cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A jab from Tully does it's job there.
Tigran Minasian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tully throws a right and a left that both miss.
And Minasian tries to counter it with a takedown but Tully pushes his down on his head and steps out.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Tully! Minasian is backing up but he can't get away as Tully lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Minasian and ends the fight. Great knockout.
