Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luis Cordero (ranked 6000 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trevor Mayer (ranked 6172 p4p, 548 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Luis Cordero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Trevor Mayer!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cordero fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Cordero cracks Mayer with an open hand slap.
Cordero connects with a single shot there.
Mayer connects with a good right hand that stumbles Cordero. Cordero circles away out of range and recomposes himself.


It looks like Luis Cordero has been cut.
Mayer darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Cordero takes one on the button.
Cordero tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mayer swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Cordero looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Cordero tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Mayer counters with a single leg into guard. Cordero didn't expect that.
Cordero wants to get back to his feet but Mayer passes into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Mayer is nestled in close to Cordero, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Mayer working over Cordero with some ground and pound. Cordero looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Mayer takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Mayer working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Mayer throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Cordero is breathing heavily.

Mayer working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Mayer is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Mayer looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cordero with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Cordero might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Mayer slips a nice elbow through Cordero's hands, connecting with Cordero's forehead.

Mayer uses his free foot to push down on Cordero's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Cordero.

Mayer connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
BOOM! Mayer connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Mayer scoring with strikes but Cordero is staying in there.
Mayer postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Cordero looks a forlorn figure.


Cordero is rocked!
Cordero is in a horrible position here. Mayer smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Oh Cordero is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mayer is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Cordero goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Mayer!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Trevor Mayer!
