The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joe throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Ali flicks out a counter leg kick but Joe steps away.
Ali goes for a double leg but Joe avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Joe continues to drive forward.
Joe looks to throw the jab but Ali is out of range.
Joe fails with an attempt to clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Joe is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.

Joe might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Ali has control of Joe's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Joe regains control of the situation pretty easily.
