Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Krom Kong (ranked 5740 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ao Ki (ranked 2689 p4p, 0 weight class). Krom Kong could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ao Ki's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Krom Kong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ao Ki!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ki shoots in and drives through. Kong sprawls well.

Ki fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kong to the ground. Ki is now in Kong's guard.
Kong seems keen to control Ki's posture.
Ki sitting in guard here, content to control.
Ki trying to control the position from guard on top but Kong is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kong is trying to keep Ki in close.
We've been hearing good reports from Kong's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Ki trying to control but Kong is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kong seems keen to control Ki's posture.
Ki trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Kong is pulling down on Ki's head. It's preventing any offense from Ki, at least for the moment.

Ki controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Kong moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Ao Ki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A slapping body kick lands there for Kong.
Kong pivots, looking for a leg kick but Ki is out of range and Kong settles back down.
Kong defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ki.

Ki drives through with a takedown into Kong's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Kong pushes Ki off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kong displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Krom Kong is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Kong takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Kong appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

Ki shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Ki was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Kong bucks up and tries to throw Ki off but instead Ki has got his back!
Kong trying to control the position but Ki manages to sink in the hooks.

Ki working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Kong is doing well to defend. Ki seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Kong is forced to tap and this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ao Ki!
After the big win, Ao Ki made sure to do all the important stuff like thanking his sponsors RAGS of a RONIN and telling the interviewer how much he loves him.
In defeat, Krom Kong stepped up to the mic, saying 'U were to good tonite'.
