Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Elija Elizondo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Russell Bell!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elizondo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bell to the mat! Bell manages to get full guard.
Bell has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Elizondo is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Elizondo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Bell throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Elizondo shoots for a double leg takedown but Bell sprawls well. He's pushed Elizondo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Bell gets caught napping as Elizondo dives in and scores a takedown. Bell manages to retain guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bell wants to stand and escape but Elizondo is having none of it.
Bell pushes Elizondo off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Elizondo displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bell.

Bell fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Elizondo throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bell was covering up waiting for the punch and Elizondo finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Elizondo throws a strike but Bell rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Elizondo wants to stand up but Bell is controlling him.

Elizondo manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Bell escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Elizondo dives in for a single leg takedown but Bell sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

and Elizondo counters with a left to the body.
Bell displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Elizondo.
Bell looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Bell leaves Elizondo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Elizondo dives in and grabs Bell's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bell pushes down on Elizondo's head and hops out.

Elizondo fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bell looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Elizondo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bell.
Elizondo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Elizondo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Elizondo lands a two punch combo.
Bell tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Elizondo paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Elizondo appears to be looking for a big counter.
Bell gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Bell kicks Elizondo off and gets to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bell rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Elizondo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Elizondo goes for a double leg but Bell avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bell continues to drive forward.
Elizondo throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bell tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Elizondo is in Bell's guard.
Elizondo stands and steps away. Bell gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Bell shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Elizondo sprawls well. Elizondo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bell gets slowly back to his feet.
